...No, I don't think so. They're major characters (as major as a character can get in GW, anyway) - to have the kind of control over them Hero status lets you have seems rather silly.

On the other hand, Koss, Melonni, Margrid, Whispers and Morgahn are all somewhat major characters, and you can use them as heroes... hm.

Koss, Margird etc were designed as heroes, to be heroes. Making devona etc heroes only for EotN wouldn't work, as people would want to know why they can't bring them back.

Also, Devona's AI sucks, she always finds the mob to run into when you're nice and safe, and the fact that mhenlo is always present is really annoying, don't like that guy

OK, Devona is a retard. But Mhenlo, annoying? He's kinda cool IMO (except for his tendency to res mid-fight, which is a failing common to all AI monks). He's a playa, to boot - Jamei and Cynn? AND Emi and (at one point) Chiyo? C'mon, he kicks ass.

I'd make all the core henchies (and even some of the campaign specific ones like talon or the faction twins) as heroes for Chars that have beaten one of the games and GWEN.

I wouldnt mind this. Devona isnt any worse than Koss. AI warriors tend to be "special".

That said, I don't think I could stand those characters' banter all through the missions. They've all got terribly annoying personalities...

They are both ugly, ugly men.... That's something I never quite understood. At least the heroes look like they have personality, the henches all look so two-dimensional, even when they're the main prophecies characters...
